What A Ham!

On Father's Day daddy was shaving and Brayden wanted in on it. Brayden thought it was so cool that he looked just like his daddy. We had a hard time getting it off of him because he wanted to keep it on but we figured it would irritate his face at some point. He reluctantly let us take it off about 30 minutes later. He's already wanting to grow up so fast. It's just not allowed I want to keep my babies forever.

Then later that day, I turned around and here is a miniature Elton John staring at me. He was wearing Sophie's sunglasses. HP and I was laughing so hard we could hardly get the picture. This is one of my favorite pictures of him. He cracks me up. We thought we should share a piece of the "Ham" on Father's Day.

What's been going on!

Well Luke, Brayden, and Jen are finally done with school and so we're enjoying our wonderful pool. Ha Ha! Luke will now be entering 2nd grade and Brayden will be in preschool again next year. As for me (Jen) I'm on the waiting list for nursing school. I have all of my prerequisites and co requisites done so all there is left is about a 3 semester wait to get into nursing school. So in the meantime I'm going to enjoy my kids plus the 2 foster kids we're taking care of Jayden who is 1 and Gracie who is 2 months. My hands are full but I like it.

Luke finally got Student of the Month the last month of school. He worked really hard for it and got it mostly for helping his peers learn. He's a good teacher. He's very patient and has a way about him that people can understand him especially his little brother.
I of course was a sappy mom. My kids can do the smallest thing and the fact that I'm so proud of them spills out majorly in my emotions. My poor boys. I'm sure I'll be pretty embarrassing to them through the years.

Mr. Brayden is our little poser. He likes the camera A LOT! He gets very upset when you take a picture of his sister or older brother and not include him. He has to say cheese EVERY time. He's such a good boy and has such an infectious smile. As you can see. He HATES not being able to go to school and not being able to ride his "little bus" or as he calls it a "dus". I'm still trying to find activities to stimulate him but I still thinks he likes Ms. Debbie his teacher better.
Well this leaves us to Sassafras Bauer. Her nickname is Sassy because she is sooooooooo Sassy. She is into everything and climbs on everything. She stands on our high kitchen table if we're not looking and even climbs the huge swing set in the backyard. If you tell her she can't have it she does what she can to get it. It is so different raising a girl than a boy. BUT, she is a blast. HP and I love laughing at her and find it hard to discipline her because were laughing at her so much. She definitely takes some work. We got her, her very own vacuum because I couldn't vacuum the house without her trying to steal mine. She likes her vacuum but I think she prefers mine more. Probably because it's mine. She's still a very tiny 18 pounds. You would never know it though because she pushes her weight around if she wants something. We are so blessed to have our 3 kiddos. I would post pictures of our 2 little foster kids but the state doesn't allow that but you can take my word for it. They are sure cute.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog. Keep checking for more updates. I hope to keep on the ball with it. We'll see. Love you all!!!!

Welcome!!!!

My friend Bekah told me I should get a blog. I didn't think I would have time nor the know how to navigate my way though it but here we are. Think of this as a personal e-mail telling you about The Bauer clan. Save us as your favorites and check with us to see if there are any updates. It's a year round Christmas card. I'm hoping that I can really keep up with it. We'll see how I do. Hopefully you'll like what you see.
